On February 26th, you will depart St. Petersburg aboard your private motor coaches, and enjoy a Mellow Mushroom catered picnic lunch* at the Light House Park. Then experience over 500 years of maritime heritage and learn the role of the lighthouse and its importance in coastal defense and take the 219-step climb at the St. Augustine Lighthouse and Maritime Museum. Next, you might get shackled and booked at the Old Jail Museum and experience the 19th and 20th century life of a prisoner. Once you’re released, step back 450 years and learn about the Castillo de San Marcos*, built by the Spanish to defend their claim in La Florida. It is the oldest masonry fort in the continental United States. Finally, enjoy dinner* with fellow students before your hotel check in.

This morning you will begin traveling back in time and learn about Ponce De Leon and the first Spanish settlers who arrived in the 1600s encountering the Timucuan Indians at the Fountain of Youth*. Enjoy a catered lunch* on St. George Street and souvenir shopping after traveling to St. Augustine’s Colonial Quarters* to walk through history, which offers such activities as blacksmithing and live musket demonstrations. Next travel back 300 years and experience life of a pirate going through the Golden Age of Piracy at the St. Augustine Pirate and Treasure Museum. Catch an eye-to-eye experience of Florida’s ecosystem and learn interesting facts about the reptiles native to Florida at the Alligator Farm. Dig for treasures and explore artifacts from the Titanic at the Shipwreck Museum* before ending the day with dinner* and games at Main Event*.

Today begins with a customized tour of Flagler College learning the legacy and fascinating history of Flagler College, which was originally the grand Hotel Ponce de Leon. Venture over to the Spanish Military Hospital* and see how 18th Century Spanish Colonial medicine was ahead of their time. Enjoy lunch* catered by Chick-fil-a before your chartered bus trip back home.
SPECIAL TOUR CONDITIONS
SPECIAL TOUR CONDITIONS: The price for this trip is $850.00 per person. The tour price will be based on four persons to a room and will include round-trip private motor coach transportation from St. Petersburg, hotel accommodations, 2 breakfasts, 3 lunches and 2 dinners, sightseeing and entrance fees if required where applicable. Sightseeing visits INCLUDE guide and entrance fees (if applicable) to, Lighthouse and Maritime Museum, Old Jail Museum, Castillo de San Marcos, Fountain of Youth, Colonial Quarters, Pirate and Treasure Museum, Alligator Farm, Shipwreck Museum, Main Event, Old Jail Museum, Flagler College Tour, and Spanish Military Hospital. Please note that all above-mentioned scheduled activities are subject to change or cancellation due to circumstances beyond our control (i.e., availability, weather, traffic, etc.). A minimum number of paying tour participants, travelling together, may be required for the tour offering to remain valid. The applicable tour conditions are listed on the online application. There is a $150.00 non-refundable (FOR ANY REASON) deposit due to be eligible for the trip. The $150 deposit is due November 8, 2024. The final payment is due no later than January 10,2025 for which you will be invoiced.

The waiver and release of liability as listed below is in addition to those already stated on the Tour Conditions of the official tour participant Application and Participation Agreement.
By paying the initial NON-REFUNDABLE FOR ANY REASON deposit and/or subsequent payments, it is understood that participation in the Shorecrest Preparatory School trip to St. Augustine is voluntary. Trip cancellation insurance is strongly recommended for which EA Tours will be sending you information. It is further acknowledged that as a Tour Participant, I am aware of the risks and dangers associated with travel because of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and have knowingly chosen to accept and assume all such associated risks and dangers. It is further understood that, if in the event a participant contracts COVID-19, or any other illness, prior to departure and are unable to travel on the prescribed trip, they are still subject to the tour conditions and refund policy as stated in the online Application and Participation Agreement. It is further agreed to release, waive, covenant not to sue, hold harmless and forever discharge Voyager Travel, Inc., dba EA Tours, its officials, employees, agents, and representatives from any and all liabilities, claims, damages, losses, expenses, injuries, or other harms, whether known or unknown, resulting from or related to participation in the Tour, its activities, or the associated travel. It is further agreed to indemnify and hold Voyager Travel, Inc. dba EA Tours, its employees, agents, and representatives harmless from and against any and all liabilities, claims, damages, losses, expenses (including but not limited to reasonable attorneys’ fees and other litigation costs and expenses), injuries, or other harms incurred as a result of any claims or suits that (or anyone claiming by, under, or through me) may be brought to recover any liabilities, claims, damages, losses, expenses, injuries, or other harms that arise during or as a result of my participation in the Tour, its activities, or the associated travel. It is expressly agreed and understood that this Voluntary Release and Waiver of Liability is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the State of Florida . Additionally, by making any payments (whatsoever), it is acknowledged that these conditions have been carefully read and that this is a Voluntary Release and Waiver of Liability.
