On June 23, 2024 you will depart from New York City to begin your Pilgrimage to visit the sites of Sister Angela and the splendors of Italy. You will spend 10 unbelievable days touring this magnificent country and taking in all that it has to offer.
Milan – Desenzano – Venice – Florence
June 24 – June 29, 2024
Buongiorno Italia! On June 24th, 2024, you will arrive in Milan where you will be met and transferred from the airport to your hotel in Desenzano del Garda, a charming resort town on the southern end of Lake Garda in northern Italy. Once you have arrived you will enjoy your first dinner* in Italy. Start your next day, June 25th with a full day of site seeing. Including a visit to Le Grezze*, St. Angela’s family home where she spent her childhood before returning later in life for a simpler time of working the fields, continuing her path of prayer. After your Pilgrimage visit, you will travel to the town Brescia. Brescia has a rich cultural history, offering the stunning 11th century Duomo Vecchio, 1st century Roman ruins at Tempio Capitolin*, the Brescia Castle*, and the Church of St. Afra*, where St. Angela is buried. On June 26th, you will depart in the morning for a full day excursion to “The Floating City” of Venice*. Here you will explore the magical city by foot as you tour the Doge’s Palace*, admire the Rialto Bridge and stroll through St. Mark’s Square. Don’t forget to pick up some souvenirs! This evening you will return to Desenzano.
Florence
June 27 – June 29
On June 27th, you will say goodbye to Desenzano as you depart for the amazing city of Florence where upon arrival, dinner* this is included. The next morning, June 28th, you will awaken in the city that is the birthplace of the Renaissance. One of your first stops on your guided walking tour* of Florence will be the Academia*, home to Michelangelo’s “David”. The afternoon is free for your own personal sightseeing and shopping. Florence is famed for its leather markets as well as gold and silver shops on the Ponte Vecchio. This evening you will overnight in Florence.
Assisi – Rome
June 29 – July 2, 2024
On June 29th, you will depart Florence bound for Rome with a visit enroute to Assisi*. Located in Italy’s Umbria region, Assisi is a charming hill town that was the birthplace of St. Francis. Your highlight in Assisi is the Basilica of St. Francis, a massive 2 story church that was completed in 1253. From Assisi, you will continue your journey to Rome. Following hotel check-in, dinner* this evening is included. Welcome to Rome! You will begin your explorations of Rome on the morning of June 30th with a guided walking tour* featuring the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Piazza Navona, and the Pantheon. Your afternoon is devoted to viewing the Colosseum and Roman Forum*. The morning of July 1st takes you to the magnificent St. Peter’s Basilica and Vatican City*. Your final afternoon allows you time for last minute shopping and personal sightseeing. Your farewell dinner* tonight is included. On July 2nd, you will depart from the Rome International Airport for you return flight to the United States.

Trip price is based on double/twin occupancy, and includes point-to-point transportation between cities while in Italy, train, all breakfasts and 4 evening meals (1 in Desenzano, 1 in Florence and 2 in Rome). Additionally, *Entrance fees and/or transportation marked with an asterisk are included in the tour price. A $500.00 nonrefundable (for any reason) application fee / deposit is required to reserve your space on this tour. All tour participants must submit an online application.
